How Does Pixel CO2 Work?

Pixel CO2 uses both ablative and non-ablative thermal energy to resurface the topmost damaged and loose skin, while also stimulating new collagen growth to lower levels of the dermis. After the procedure, underlying skin is revealed, which is smoother, softer and more youthful. It is a non-surgical alternative to the traditional facelift, and the custom nature of the procedure means it requires little to no recovery time. Stem Cell Serum may be added immediately post-treatment for added collagen and skin growth, followed by 60 days of home stem cell topical serum application.

Am I A Candidate For a Non-Surgical Facelift With Pixel CO2?

If you have mild to moderate signs of aging and you’d like a treatment that offers age-defying results without surgery, the Pixel CO2 could be the ideal procedure for you. Laser treatments are especially suitable for patients who cannot or don’t want to undergo general anesthesia for health reasons.

The Pixel CO2 is safe and effective for most skin conditions. Although patients with lighter skin tones tend to have a better response, the Pixel laser can be adjusted for a variety of tones.

How Long Does Treatment Take?

The procedure length can vary depending on the size of the area being addressed but generally takes around 20-30 minutes. Patients will need to arrive approximately 1-hour early so that a topical numbing cream can be applied to ensure optimal comfort. A cooling serum is also applied directly after your laser resurfacing treatment. It’s not uncommon to be in-office about 2-hours.

What Results Can I Expect?

Patients can expect reduced wrinkles, skin tightening, and a softening of aging or frown lines. Pixel CO2 also promotes a smoother and more even skin tone. Results will be most noticeable in the weeks following treatment as collagen growth is stimulated by the procedure.

Most patients only need a single treatment session to get the outcome they’d like. However, some patients prefer to have multiple lighter treatments rather than one intensive session. A typical Pixel CO2 treatment can last upwards of 6+ months. Proper at-home skincare maintenance can prolong the outcome of your procedure.

Is There Any Downtime?

Downtime with Pixel CO2 is dependent on the intensity of your laser treatment. Most patients experience some redness or soreness (similar to that of a sunburn) immediately following their appointment. However, most side effects typically subside fairly quickly. Lighter laser treatments can have a short 3-5 day recovery. For deeper resurfacing, you can expect healing to take 7-10 days.
